Houses have divergent types of central heating
Different types of Central Heating Systems are available in the market. Despite the different names basically these systems usually have copper pipework, radiators and a gas heating boiler.
Whilst we need central heating systems air conditioners are not needed in the United Kingdom and Europe because of the average temperature throughout the year. That is why in the United Kingdom most houses built these days are constructed with Gas Central Heating Systems fully integrated into the home.
With wintertime coming up round the corner heating should be at the front of your mind. You can make your home more comfortable, pleasing and relaxing by heating it with Gas Central Heating. Your Central Heating System must be fault free as much as possible and efficient to cut bills. It should be durable, easy to use and completely safe.
Vented (or pumped) and Sealed heating systems are the two most common types available.
The most commonly used systems are pumped/vented Central Heating systems. The pumped/vented Gas Central Heating Systems have an expansion tank and a feed. The tank supplies your house with hot water and provides the radiators with heat. The expansion tank has adequate space to accommodate any water expansion that occurs due to heat. The expansion tank is placed at highest spot to help create water pressure. The tank provides a dual supply of hot water and warmth for the house.
For many years now, pumped/vented systems have been the norm for Central Heating.
The sealed Gas Central Heating system is one that more and more people are opting for these days. As the name indicates, a sealed system is a an enclosed system therefore no expansion water tanks are needed. There are benefits to have this closed type of system with pipework and tanks being unnecessary.
- There is no chance of pipes freezing in the attic.
- There is no need to maintain the tanks and pipes as there are not present.
- The danger of a leaking water tank is all together missing.
- The air cannot enter the system as its sealed and hence there are lesser chances of sludge, corrosion and air locks developing.
- The main water pressure can easily be used to flush out a Sealed system for easy maintenance.
All the required controls and safety devices are incorporated into the sealed Central Heating systems. A sealed Gas Central Heating System uses water that comes directly from the main water supply. The pressure of the main water supply benefits the hot water outlets and gives a healthy shower.
A pressure vessel containing compressed gas, which is kept separate from the sealed system by a diaphragm, is used to allow any pressure variations. The pressure in a sealed Central Heating System is controlled by a valve that lets water out if the pressure becomes too high and opens to refill the system with water if the pressure gets too low.
Central Heating Systems are a worthwhile investment as they have the lowest cost of operation when compared with other types of heating. Furthermore, they offer all kinds of control, which are normally not found in other heating systems giving you a more enjoyable environment.
